My Life in Moments – By Natalia María Machado Pastrana

STUDENT AT SENA – COORDINATOR OF  LOGISTIC PROCESSES
TRAINING FILE: 3134620
INSTRUCTOR : Ricardo León Gutiérrez

  • Entry 1: My Family – My Greatest Treasure

Family is everything to me. I was born on June 29, 1978, and since I was a child, I’ve shared beautiful moments with my loved ones. We love spending Sundays together, cooking traditional Colombian food, and enjoying each other’s company.

Thanks to English training at SENA, I’ve learned how to describe my family and talk about our routines and traditions.

🌟 "My family is my safe place and my motivation every day."

  • Entry 2: My Travel Memories – Exploring Colombia and Beyond

Traveling has helped me grow, both personally and professionally. I’ve visited magical places like:

·         Cartagena – I loved the historical center and the beaches.

·         Medellín – The flower festival and the cable cars amazed me.

·         Santa Marta – Tayrona Park was a dream come true.

·         Bogotá – Museums and culture everywhere!

Each place gave me stories, smiles, and a stronger command of English to communicate with people.

  • 📚 Entry 3: Critical Thinking and Media Literacy

Today, we live surrounded by information. At SENA, I learned how important it is to think before believing or sharing anything. Critical thinking allows me to ask questions like:

·         Is this information true?

·         Who created it and why?

·         Can I verify it with another source?

Thanks to media literacy, I now read news with a critical eye, and I also teach my family to do the same.

🧠 "Don’t believe everything you read. Think, check, and then decide."

  • 👮 Entry 4: Crime and Punishment – Social Reflection

In my training, I studied how crime affects our society and why justice is important. I learned vocabulary and expressions related to the legal system. I also watched short documentaries in English, helping me understand both language and context.

Crime should be punished fairly, but we must also work to prevent it through education and opportunities.

⚖️ "A just society educates, prevents, and gives second chances."

  • 💬 Conclusion: A Journey of Growth

Thanks to my English training at SENA, I have improved my speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills. Through family stories, travel adventures, and academic topics, I’ve grown as a person and as a future logistics coordinator.

  •   I am going to present videos where I am learning communication and writing in English.
